There’s nothing ground breaking in saying that the doom and gloom weather in Scotland affects the national psyche. Hence, when it’s sunny, like it strangely has been for the last week or so, you feel a pressure to go outside, or “do something,” like go for a walk, or go buy a newspaper, or still go to the pub, but sit next to the window and order a light beer or something, maybe with a piece of fruit in it.
