Lina Harper is a Montreal-based freelance journalist and social
networking consultant who writes about media, STUFF, culture, queers,
THINGS and community development. She hates the Oxford Comma so don’t
piss her off with one. Since graduating from Concordia in 2007 with a
BA in communication and women’s studies, she has since written for the
Montreal Mirror, Xtra!, Outlooks, Blackheart and is pretty sure she
started Montreal’s first anglophone queer blog—Kox & Kuntz. She
collects 80s Quebec aerobics memorabilia, studies memes with the
intensity of a 5 year-old, wears way too much orange lipstick and in
