Love You Forever

by Kevin Sexton

I was recently employed at the William Ashley Warehouse Sale, a month-long sale for upscale house wares.
I worked in the executive section, which was basically gifts for middle-aged businessmen. A couple in their 40s were walking by when the husband spotted a game called Senior Moments. He pulled it off the shelf and held it up for his wife to see.

“Ha!” he said. “Look at that!”

            She glanced briefly.

“The last time you bought a stupid game, it sat in a box and collected dust! You’re not getting another one.”

He put the game neatly back in its place and followed her silently to the dinnerware.
